Katalin Parti focuses her research on both the offender and victim sides of cybercrime, sexual violence, and online manipulative scams targeting older people. She is a certified mediator and holds a European Certificate in Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence. She is also a coauthor and co-editor of Juvenile Justice and Schools: Policing, Processing, and Programming (San Diego: Cognella, 2020).
She is the recipient of several awards and fellowships, including Fulbright scholarships, Max Planck Scholarships, and has ongoing collaborations with scholars in the United States and Europe. She teaches courses in criminology, women and crime, and school violence and justice.
Parti earned her PhD in criminal justice from the University of Pécs in Hungary. She also holds a law degree and a master's of science in criminal justice, with a concentration on cybercrime investigation and cybersecurity, at Boston University Metropolitan College.
