George W. Burruss is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of South Florida and the Florida Center for Cybersecurity. His main research interests focus on criminal justice organizations, cybercrime, and how law enforcement and governments respond to cybercrime. He received his doctorate in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Prior to getting his doctorate, he served as a criminal fraud investigator with a state’s office of attorney general.
