Asier Moneva is Research Personnel in Training (FPU) in the CRÍMINA Research Center for the study and prevention of crime at the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche. In 2017, Asier won the First Prize in the Field of Social Sciences and Humanities in the XVI Archimedes University Contest for Introduction to Scientific Research granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport for his MSc thesis. Later that year, Asier received a FPU scholarship from the same Ministry to develop his PhD on the field of cybercrime prevention. In 2018, Asier was awarded with the Young Researcher in Criminology Award of the Spanish Society of Criminological Research (SEIC) for his work on automated hate speech detection in social networks.
